What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Stirchley Beer stores session based information to aid in the processing of analytic data however this is not gathered through the use of PII (Personally Identifiable Information).


For almost any modern website to work properly, it needs to collect certain basic information on its users. To do this, a site will create files known as cookies – which are small text files – on its users’ computers. Stirchley Beer uses cookies to enhance your experience with us.

Who we share your data with

In order to ensure that Stirchley Beer is communicating with its audience in the most efficient manner we manage our data through two external analytic companies. Google Analytics and Hotjar.

Data passed into Google is protected through IP anonymization and is stored for 26 months. Google acts as as Data Processor in this relationship and only acts on the actions specified by the Controller (Stirchley Beer).

Data passed into Hotjar is protected through IP anonymization and is stored for a maximum of 365 days. More information on relevant Hotjar policies is available here.

What rights you have over your data

If you believe we hold personal data regarding yourself, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
